Cherry Hill, New Jersey
Program
The new office building at the Commerce
Center is a composition of stucco and
glass. The office space of 42,500 square
feet is divided between the second and
third floors, while the first floor is
primarily parking, but also includes the
main entry and lobby. Using the space
within the building footprint for parking
has the
benefit of resourceful use of the site, provision of additional green areas, greater comfort for building users.
Curb appeal is provided by angled
overhangs at the Chapel Avenue side of
the building and by creating a 3-story
niche to mark the main building entry.
Continuous ribbon windows allow natural light into the building.
Embossed stucco panels provide detail
and rhythm as well as human scale and
visual interest.
