Becica Associates is a 2nd generation firm of architects and engineers founded in 1964 by Ivan Becica, A.I.A., and John T. Oliver, A.I.A., as Oliver and Becica, A.I.A., PA. The firm quickly gained a reputation for excellence in the Southern New Jersey area for expertise in the design of residential and educational facilities and many other project types.
The founding partners retired in 1998. In 2000, the firm was reorganized as Becica Associates LLC. The company offers many services including Architecture, Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering. With our approach as an Architecture and Engineering firm, we have carefully blended the Art and Science of building design. Current firm Principals include Ivan Becica, PE, F.ASCE, Steven Becica, AIA and John Middleton, PE.
Ivan Becica, P.E., Mr. Becica's son, became a Principal of the firm in 1982. He is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, ASTM and is a licensed engineer in four states. He received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structures, from Drexel University.
His brother, Steven A. Becica, A.I.A., became a Principal of the firm in 1990. Steven Becica received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University. Steven is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is a registered architect in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.
John J. Middleton, P.E., joined the firm in 1985 and became a Principal in 2001. John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering in 1987 from Pennsylvania State University, and he is a licensed Engineer in Pennsylvania.
