Bridgeton Public Schools, Cumberland County, New Jersey
Program
Becica Associates was engaged by New Jersey School Construction Corporation to design the Early Childhood Center in order to address the District's needs for their Early Childhood program as well as core facilities and upgrades to the existing K-5 Elementary School. New core facilities common to both the Early Childhood Facility and the existing Buckshutem Elementary School were provided including a multipurpose room for physical education and other large group activities, a cafetorium with a stage and a full service kitchen. Alterations to the existing building include reconfiguring existing spaces for K-5 Administrative Offices, converting the existing all-purpose room into two classrooms and modernizing existing toilet rooms. The site design provides for additional parking, bus and parent drop-off area, and playground facilities. Project cost was funded and managed by the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation.
