Cherry Hill Public Schools, Camden County, New Jersey
Program
With the approval of a $52.6 Million Bond Referendum in March 1999, the Cherry Hill Public School District began a long overdue program and facilities upgrade. Starting at the elementary school level, the District identified the need for the addition of 52 classrooms to 10 neighborhood elementary schools. Becica Associates assisted the District throughout the process. The additional classrooms provided dedicated Art, Music and Computer classrooms, as well as a reduction in overall class sizes. Projects were grouped into 2 separate bid packages of 5 schools each to respond to the demand on the local bidding market. Other facility improvements included window replacement, electrical upgrades and HVAC upgrades.
