Bridgeton Public Schools, Cumberland County, New Jersey
Program
As a result of significant growth in the community of Bridgeton, the school district implemented a major school facility expansion project. The Bridgeton High School Media Center had not been renovated in the 40 plus years that the High School has existed. This project, managed and funded by New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation, includes an Instructional Media Center addition of 5,849 square feet and the renovation of
4,498 square feet including a 636 square feet elevator addition. Becica Associates provided Architectural and Engineering Services for the design
of the alterations and renovations. A subsequent related project was the replacement of the Bridgeton High School Auditorium heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system (HVAC). Three new roof-top HVAC units were installed. A new steel catwalk system was installed which provides a safer and more professional means of supplying lighting for stage production.
